Cindy Derby, age 1027 in insect years grew up in the tall yellow grasses of California with her two black cats Terminator and Fluffy.  

Cindy loves to dabble with crusty paintbrushes, tie strings into knots, read German children's books, and tidy up small spaces.     

She sleeps in Glasgow during the day and at night she lives in a world of objects paint and color that transform into puppets.

Not knowing which direction to go is her favorite part of the story.
